Coaching Clinic at Castleton State College's Spartan Athletic Complex

9:00-9:30 Registration

9:30-10:15 Two sessions – Nutrition/Fitness with Castleton Strength

Coach Al Jean; Pitching with Castleton State's Pitching Coach Bob

Godlewski in Jeffords Auditorium (the old Black Science building)

10:30-12:00 Castleton State Baseball Team Practice with Spartans Head

Baseball Coach Ted Shipley. Coach Shipley will emphasize creating a

competitive indoor practice.

12:00-12:30 Bruce James on Rules and Regulations

12:30-1:30 VBCA State Association Meeting

$25 Clinic Fee per person

Annual Spring Coaches Clinic and State Meeting

March 2012

The annual Vermont Baseball Coaches Association spring clinic and state association meeting is March 10 at Castleton State College. See following page for details. Baseball coaches of every level of play are encouraged to attend. The clinic fee is $25 per person.

We encourage high schools to become a member of the VBCA. Membership dues are $25 per school. Membership entitles your school's coaches and senior baseball players for post-season All-Star consideration.

Please share this notification with other baseball coaches in your community and encourage them to attend. We look forward to talking baseball with you at Castleton State College in March.

North South Game Canceled

Due to the weather thus years North South game gas been canceled. No makeup date us available for the event. Thanks to all those who put in the time and effort and to the players who were nominated. Our congratulations on an excellent high school baseball career.

Junior Showcase Canceled, Senior Game Update

We've made a decision to cancel this years Junior Showcase. We'll need more time to prepare to do this correctly. Please notify any Juniors who planned on attending and we'll look forward to creating a stellar event next year.

As for the Senior Games:

Location: Castleton State College

June 25th, 2011

Players should report at 1230pm.

2 seven inning games will be played. The first game will begin at 2pm. Lunch will be served to all players in between games and the second game will begin 30-40 minutes after the first game.

Games postponed Monday

Division I and II championship games have been postponed until Wednesday.

North tryouts

North tryouts are canceled due to the weather. Moved to Monday June 20th at Rice. 5:30 pm
